Dr. Glenn Watkins
President

Ph.D., Master of Arts, Secondary Teachers’ Certificate, Diploma of Physical Education.

Educated in Australia and Canada, Dr Watkins has worked in four universities in Australia, USA and Canada over the past 40 years and is a recipient of one of Canada’s most prestigious postgraduate university scholarships, a Killam Doctoral Fellowship. He has also managed a successful consulting practice, working in management development, strategic planning and change management with a wide variety of private and public sector organisations across a number of countries.

He joined Edith Cowan University (ECU) in 1996 from the University of Western Australia and was appointed Director of BIZTRAK (the commercial arm of the ECU’s Faculty of Business). He became actively involved in international education in 1998 working in a number of Asian and African countries and on leaving ECU in 2000, helped establish what was to become IIBT.

He has worked closely with Mr David Xu since 1996 on the development of a business model for exporting education to other countries and strengthening IIBT’s international networks. As a result he has been appointed to a number of honorary positions at overseas partner Universities

Mr. Kien Pham
Chairman/ President 

Kien was initially from Vietnam and grew up in Australia. Kien initially studied at Curtin University (Chemical Engineering), Australia Securities Institute (Dip of Financial Markets) TAFE (Dip of Applied Science, Cert IV Real Estate, Cert IV Finance Lending), AAMC (Cert in Financial Advice, Cert in Insurance Advice), Executive Trustee (Cert in Self-Managed Superannuation Advice) plus many other Executive Management short courses and held Australia’s corporate and individual ACL and AFSL.

Kien is an entrepreneur having established businesses in Asia & Asia Pacific (Australia, Sri Lanka, India and Vietnam), Africa (Ghana and DRC) and multiple other businesses throughout the world. With experiences in mining (12 years), establishing and building (“own”) businesses (14 years – Mining, Exploration, Financial Planning and Business Advisory, Finance Lending, International Schools, Chemicals, Migration Agency, HR Services, Marketing Agency). And 10 Years in Financial Field, Kien achieved status as the top Finance Lender in Australia in 2007 and third top in 2006 in the shortest time, and was amongst the top few Financial and Business Advisors in Western Australia in 2008.

Mr. David Xu

Master of Business Administration.

Mr Xu arrived in Australia in 1991 to complete his Masters of Business Administration at ECU after a successful career in the Central Government of China.

As a senior manager and marketing executive in both government and government- owned enterprises, in China, he had completed several major projects for Chinese governments and gained much from these experiences in marketing in China.

Since 1996 he has represented ECU and later IIBT in China, building and strengthening networks in many of China’s provinces.  The networks he has built in China have enabled IIBT to operate very effectively. These relationships are the cornerstones of doing business in the relationships-orientated Chinese culture.
